360º Neighbourhood Brand
Brightwater is a new waterfront community in the heart of Port Credit in Mississauga, Canada. The project developers are West Village Partners, a strategic partnership made up of Kilmer Group, DiamondCorp, Dream, and FRAM+Slokker. The team asked Frontier to facilitate community-engagement sessions and brand-strategy workshops, as well as develop a complete 360º brand for this new community, including brand positioning, naming and messaging, video, and a robust visual-identity system.
A Whole New Waterfront
Previously home to Imperial Oil, the industrial site was decommissioned in 1990 and has sat vacant ever since, blocking access to a stretch of valuable waterfront. Frontier developed a comprehensive brand strategy that positions Brightwater as a community destination and connector—a new downtown waterfront hub for all of Port Credit. This brand-new connection to the water became the core element that galvanized all project initiatives, brand development, and marketing.
Modern Lakeside Living
Port Credit is a uniquely diverse neighbourhood in Mississauga known just as much for its bucolic green spaces as for its lively village character. The Brightwater visual identity Frontier developed offers a serene, elevated feel that is both connected to the character of Port Credit while pushing the tone to a fresh and more modern place. This is achieved through a natural photographic style, elegant type treatments, and a colour palette driven by a spectrum of blues.
