Mpenzy is a cannabis skincare line dedicated to diversity and empowerment. With deep experience in the cosmetics and cannabis industry, founder Kirstin Wood saw an opportunity to develop a natural skincare line that reflected her own philosophy and lifestyle. She asked Frontier to help her launch Mpenzy with a strong visual brand and voice.
Staying True, Inside and Out
We quickly understood that skincare is a personal experience for many people and therefore strove to create a purpose and identity that was inspired by Mpenzy’s founder, but still interpretive and welcoming to a beautifully diverse audience. The Mpenzy brand stands for positivity, fearlessness, and an enthusiasm for life. Far from showing only what’s on the surface, the brand celebrates what’s on the inside—of the person and the product.
Inspiration Everywhere
From colorful illustrations and travel photography to cannabis culture and Ankara textiles, Kirstin’s influences are vivacious and eclectic. They are not only meaningful for their visual cues, but also for their symbolic and spiritual significance. With additional industry research and insights provided by Kirstin’s trusted circle of friends and colleagues, Frontier developed a positioning framework and a visual identity with a custom-design wordmark, unique ingredient illustrations, and product styling.
