Sunday Market came to Frontier with the challenge to design and launch five brands that each respond to the dynamic, ever-changing cannabis market in a specialized way. With this robust plan, Frontier developed positioning, naming, brands, and websites for Sunday Market, the celebratory and warm parent brand; Nith & Grand, the premium cannabis experience; Divvy, friendly growers of everyday bud; Bogart’s Kitchen, connoisseurs of edible cannabis; and Noon & Night, champions of cannabis wellness. With careful planning and close collaboration between the Sunday Market and Frontier teams, we successfully met the challenge.
The Public Market
The public market was a key source of inspiration for this project. Lively, diverse, and abundant, it represents the vision for Sunday Market and its family of brands. This key research insight informed our approach to naming as well as to visual-identity development, including marquee-inspired logos and typography, day-and-night imagery, and graphic devices that evoke decorative, eye-catching marketplace signage. The result is an ownable and warm visual language built to celebrate a diverse family of sub-brands.
Following launch, Frontier continues to work with Sunday Market’s communications team to activate the brand and its specialized sub-brands across different markets, through in-store activations, product launches, farmstead press parties, and ongoing social-media campaigns.
