Quayside
The vision for Quayside is of a place that makes space for connection between people, animals, rain, trees, and all of life. A twelve-acre site in downtown Toronto, it is the geographic heart of a cluster of historically and culturally significant neighborhoods, linking St. Lawrence, the West Don Lands, the Distillery District, Bayside, and the future Villiers Island. Frontier partnered with Dream & Great Gulf to lead the storytelling of their winning development proposal, and, through several engagement sessions, the creation of a Community Impact Vision and tenant-needs plan.

Community Impact Vision and Preliminary Spatial Plan
After helping to secure the project, we led multiple community and stakeholder workshops, resulting in a comprehensive Community Impact Vision and Preliminary Spatial Plan document. We also designed and built a portable, interactive structure to inform and engage the public to help shape the future of Quayside. Participants offered input on key project details, such as the overall mission and guiding principles, through both voting mechanism and written replies.
